Project Overview

We are looking to revamp our internal operations management tool to support expansion plans and process. Admin.sendbox.co has existed and served delivery operations within Nigeria over the years. The system is currently split into two (where a subset serves specifically franchise partners/hubs in cities across Nigeria). As such we are going to focus on re-platforming and improving an existing product that enables the internal operations of Sendbox.

The current product barely serves the operations team’s internal processes as it thrives on external, additional physical processes that should and can be automated for efficiency and clarity.

Problem Statements

  • The problem this product seeks to address is an efficient means of processing customer shipment requests, storing users’ data, assigning and accomplishing deliveries, reporting and monitoring hub performance, processes and operations.
  • This problem exists because merchants (business owners) cannot internally handle their logistics needs.
  • We exist as a business entity to provide these services to merchants, and also as a means to keep business afloat by generating revenue.

Objectives & Goals

  • A major objective of revamping the admin.sendbox.co into thor.sendbox.co is to simplify the work and processes of the hubs and their managers.
  • Another objective is to make internal operations transparent and efficient across locations as we expand
  • Lastly, to enable teams to deliver seamlessly shipping and delivery experiences to customers

Our Target Audience

Design Strategies

  • Simplicity: Make the platform easy to navigate, offering a clean and straightforward user experience. All key functions, such as booking, tracking, and managing shipments, should be accessible with minimal clicks.

  • Modular Architecture: The platform should be scalable and allow for the integration of new logistics partners and features as needed.

  • Responsive Design: Ensure the web app is fully responsive, offering the same quality experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Design Solutions

The Thor dashboard was designed to simplify the hub process, make internal operations transparent and efficient, and also enable the team to deliver a seamless shipping and delivery experience to customers.

Dashboard

The logistics dashboard displays key performance indicators related to logistics and supply chain operations, such as real-time tracking, and performance metrics. It also provides customizable features, alerts, and interactive data visualization tools.

Details View

The logistics details view page includes features such as origin/destination, ETA, carrier/tracking info, current status, shipping documents, and tools for managing the shipment. Its purpose is to efficiently manage and track shipments for timely delivery.

List View

The logistics list view page displays a table of logistics data with sorting, filtering, and pagination features to enable quick analysis and navigation. It includes shipment details, shipment status, and tracking number

Monitoring Dashboard

The logistics monitoring dashboard displays key performance indicators related to logistics and supply chain operations, hub performance, business insight, financial reports, and customer behavior.
